i like the vid a lot but i was tought to field the ball infornt of u. when u field it you field it off to the side. if you field it off to the side and get a bad hop its passed u maybe an extra base if you keep the ball in front of you and get a bad hop it hits you in the chest. coach b wat is right?

Goreat point.
First of all, I believe that the right way is always whatever your coach is asking you to do. He’s the one that controls who gets to play!
Secondly, I think if you pause the video at the point of fielding, you’ll notice that I don’t field the ball off to my side.
As far as getting in front of the ball, I think it is good, but if I have to make a choice between getting in front of it, and putting myself in a good position to catch the ball, I will usually choose the catch
